Cousins Maine Lobster food truck offers New England flavors in West Michigan.
Note: This is a story I wrote for WZZM 13 in April of 2025. The original can be found here.
Now in West Michigan, you can get a taste of New England. Cousins Maine Lobster, previously seen on Shark Tank, has opened a food truck in Grand Rapids. The new truck is doing pop-ups across West Michigan all week.
They kicked off their week in Grand Rapids on Wednesday. They parked at Pharmhouse Wellness Weed Dispensary, located at 831 Wealthy Street SW from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If you missed that stop, you’ve got five more chances to get a bite (or a claw) this week. Here’s the rest of the pop-ups they have planned this week:
- Thursday, May 1: Muskegon Farmers Market, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Friday, May 2: Tanger Outlets in Byron Center, 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday, May 3: Watermark Brewing in Stevensville, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunday, May 4: Tractor Supply Co. in Newaygo, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Tuesday, May 6: Family Farm and Home in Cadillac, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Cousins Maine Lobster is locally owned. According to their website, they partner with local entrepreneurs who want to “bring the sweet succulent taste of Maine lobster to their neighborhood.”
Anyone who wants to join the team at Cousins Maine Lobster travels to Maine for training. While there, they meet the lobstermen who catch the crustaceans, board their boats, bait and haul traps, and measure lobsters to learn about the industry.
The Cousins Maine Lobsters menu offers classics like lobster rolls, bisques and chowders. They also have some of their specialties such as a lobster grilled cheese, lobster tots, lobster tacos and a lobster quesadilla.
You can check out their full menu and schedule for future pop-ups at cousinsmainelobster.com.
